Delaware Valley University Athletics Announces 2024 Hall of Fame Class

Jeremy Beckett '13, Kevin Harrigan '07, Tom Masterson '12, Travis Pitts '12 and Jackie Wear '14 will be enshrined in the DelVal Athletics Hall of Fame for their success as student-athletes during their time at DelVal

Doylestown, PA (08/05/2024) — The Delaware Valley University (DelVal) Athletics Hall of Fame Committee is proud to announce it will induct five new honorees as part of the class of 2024 during an induction ceremony on campus Friday, September 13, 2024. The class includes Kevin Harrigan '07 (football), Tom Masterson '12 (track & field), Travis Pitts '12 (track & field), Jeremy Beckett '13 (men's basketball), and Jackie Wear '14 (softball).The event will take place on campus in the Life Sciences Building with a cocktail hour reception at 6 p.m. followed by the induction ceremony in the auditorium at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public, but all must register in advance using this link or by visiting athletics.delval.edu.

Kevin Harrigan | Football | Class of 2007

Harrigan was a standout offensive lineman in DelVal program history earning honors as a two-time all-region player and was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference First Team his senior year. Harrigan was part of the 2004 and 2005 MAC Championship teams, helping the Aggies reach the NCAA quarterfinals both years. He also played a key role in the 2003 ECAC championship victory over the College of New Jersey 54-37.

Tom Masterson | Track & Field | Class of 2012

Masterson, a two-time All-American, holds the javelin throw record at DelVal, achieving a distance of 65.76 meters during the 2011 TCNJ Invitational. In that same year, Masterson was honored as the Mideast Region Athlete of the Year and received both MAC indoor and outdoor athlete of the year awards. He also secured three individual championships. In 2012, after earning the MAC Outdoor Athlete of the Year title, Masterson triumphed at the ECAC outdoor championships in the javelin throw event.

Travis Pitts | Track & Field | Class of 2012

Pitts, a three-time All-American and six-time MAC champion, earned track athlete of the year honors three times for his outstanding performances in sprint races. He holds Delaware Valley indoor records in the 60-meter and 200-meter events, as well as the 100-meter and 200-meter events, all achieved in his senior year. Pitts also distinguished himself academically, being named to six MAC All-Academic teams.

Jeremy Beckett | Men's Basketball | Class of 2013

Beckett, a 2013 DIII News All-American was a member of the 2011 and 2013 MAC Freedom championship teams and appeared in the NCAA Tournament both seasons. In 2013 Beckett was named the conference tournament Most Valuable Player and earned a spot on the D3Hoops First Team along with MAC Freedom and ECAC First Team accolades. Jeremy still holds the DVU single-game block record (9) and career block record (216). During his senior season, Beckett finished second in Division III with 18 double-doubles.

Jackie Wear | Softball | Class of 2014

Wear, the 2012 MAC Freedom Player of the Year played four seasons for the Aggie softball team. She is the current record holder in season doubles (18) and runs scored (38). Wear also holds career records in doubles (47) and stolen bases (68) while ranking fourth in career batting average (.404).
