Delaware Valley University Set to Unveil a Time Capsule Buried in 1997

Doylestown, PA (04/07/2022) — On Friday, April 8 at 12:30 p.m. on Delaware Valley University's (DelVal) campus in the Student Center Courtyard, the University will unveil a time capsule that was buried in 1997 in celebration of DelVal's centennial. The time capsule has been underground for 25 years, and DelVal is thrilled to unveil the items after celebrating its 125th anniversary.

At the event, you will hear remarks from President, Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski, Library Director, Peter Kupersmith, and alumnus, Greg Hinderliter '98 who as a student, was part of the initial Time Capsule Burial Committee.

Dr. Ruslioski, Kupersmith, and Hinderliter '98 were all at DelVal when the time capsule was buried. As each item will be unveiled, Hinderliter '98 will explain why each item was chosen for the time capsule and its significance for being buried. The event is sure to be a nostalgic celebration for faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Photo opportunities: Each item will be unveiled in the DelVal Student Center Courtyard and explained by DelVal alumnus, Greg Hinderliter '98. President, Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski is also expected to speak.
