Final Call for Applications for the Seventh Annual Spark Bowl

Applications to compete close Sunday, September 6 for the annual DelVal competition

Doylestown, PA (09/01/2026) — Delaware Valley University's seventh annual Spark Bowl makes a final call for applications. The event invites local startups to compete in a "Shark Tank"-like competition where the top three pitches win funding for their business or organization. Hosted by Delaware Valley University (DelVal), the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and Startup Bucks, the competition will take place on Thursday, November 19.

Each competing business is paired with a team of DelVal students who assist in pitch preparation and business plans. The competition provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience working with real businesses. Plus, the student teams for each placing business also receive a monetary award for their efforts. Last year's first place winner, Bottimals - Bottle-Loveys for Babies, walked away with $12,000 and the Bottimals student team walked away with $3,000.

Sponsorship opportunities are also still available for those looking to support local entrepreneurs and DelVal students wishing to impact economic growth and prosperity in Bucks County. Sponsors have the opportunity to be featured online and at the event, as well as participate in a networking event prior to the competition.
