Renowned Healthcare Executive Matthew Riddick '20 Joins DelVal's WEIR Speaker Series

Riddick shares valuable insights and career advice with DelVal students preparing to enter the workforce.

Doylestown, PA (03/30/2026) — Delaware Valley University welcomed Matthew Riddick '20, founder and president of The Riddick Foundation, as this spring's Watson Executive in Residence (WEIR) on Wednesday, Mar. 25. Introducing Riddick at the event was this semester's WEIR scholarship recipient, Michael Brunelli '28.

"The Watson Executive in Residence program is a hallmark of our business department here at DelVal," said Dr. Tanya Casas dean of the School of Business, Arts and Science. "It not only provides an opportunity for our students to meet with professionals like Matthew Riddick, but it also honors the outstanding legacy of Dr. Thomas W. Watson '57 and his unwavering support for the University's educational mission."

During the WEIR event, Riddick explored the power of taking ownership of your career journey and staying adaptable in an ever-changing business landscape, and provided valuable insight and advice to DelVal students, faculty and staff.

"Begin with the end in mind, but the end is only the beginning," said Riddick.

Riddick is an accomplished, award-winning corporate and philanthropic leader. He transferred to DelVal after receiving his associate degree from Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) through the core-to-core agreement between MCCC and DelVal. With over 15 years of healthcare business experience, he is a four-time Forty Under 40 honoree recognized by Lehigh Valley Business Magazine, VISTA.TODAY Business Magazine and Entrepreneurs Herald Magazine, as well as The Marquis Who's Who Publication Board who selected him as a Marquis Who's Who in America in 2023.
