Delaware Valley University's M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology Receives Pre-Accreditation

Doylestown, PA (10/24/2022) — The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in speech-language pathology {distance education} at Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. Candidacy is a "preaccreditation" status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of 5 years.

About DelVal's M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology

DelVal's speech-language pathology master's program prepares students to become highly competent professionals who can help people with a range of issues. Through the speech-language pathology master's courses, students gain fundamental knowledge of anatomical and physiological functions affecting speech, language, and hearing. They also gain hands-on experience through clinical placements with community partners. Through clinical experiences, students learn to screen for, diagnose, and develop interventions to treat speech and language disorders.

Speech-language pathologists work in a variety of settings from hospitals to outpatient clinics to rehabilitation facilities. Students of DelVal's speech-language pathology master's program can work with people of all ages, from young children to senior citizens, who have a broad spectrum of speech, language, and related conditions.
