Andrea Lawful-Sanders Visits DelVal as the Fall 2026 Waston Executive-in-Residence

Lawful-Sanders shared life and career advice with DelVal students, reflecting on her own journey to success.

Doylestown, PA (10/27/2026) — Delaware Valley University welcomed Andrea Lawful-Sanders, founder and CEO of ALawfulTruth, as this fall's Watson Executive in Residence (WEIR). Cassandra Gloster '27 was this year's WEIR scholarship recipient, and introduced Lawful-Sanders at the start of the seminar on Monday, Oct. 26.

In her presentation entitled "What Got You Here Will NOT Get You There," Lawful-Sanders shared insight into her own journey to success, reflecting on moments when she felt especially proud of the work she's done and moments when she faced challenges. She offered opportunities for students, faculty and staff to participate in the conversation and ask questions, offering her advice where she could. Lawful-Sanders even instructed some students to connect with her following the presentation and offered to become their mentor.

"Your behavior makes all the difference in the world," said Lawful-Sanders. "You don't have to boast about everything. Let your work speak for itself."

Lawful-Sanders is an educator, facilitator, media executive, writer and leader whose work has impacted the lives of children, educators, public servants and communities for more than 40 years. Her media company, ALawfulTruth, aims to help clients, from college students to professionals, grow their leadership skills and ascend with confidence.

"Each semester, the Watson Executive-in-Residence seminar brings in professionals who are leaders in their field to connect with our students," said Dr. Tanya Casas, dean of the School of Business, Arts and Sciences. "Speakers like Lawful-Sanders offer our students valuable insight into navigating the challenges they may face upon entering the workforce and continue to grow as leaders and professionals."
