Careers Are Built at Delaware Valley University

DelVal launches 16 new career pathways highlighting the many career opportunities available to graduates and a 95% career outcomes rate.

Doylestown, PA (10/19/2026) — Each major at Delaware Valley University (DelVal) offers multiple career paths that students can pursue following graduation. DelVal is highlighting this versatility through 16 new career pathways designed to help prospective students and families explore the many professional opportunities available to students upon graduation.

DelVal's dedication to career preparation is reflected in its 95% career outcomes rate. Within one year of graduation, 95% of the University's Class of 2025 was working, continuing their education or in service to our country. Some academic programs have even reported career outcome rates of 100%, such as the Food Science program and Turf Management program. Both have had a 100% career outcomes rate for the past eight years.

When students and families begin their college search, some have a career in mind but aren't sure which major will best prepare them for it. Others know what they want to study, but are still exploring how to turn that interest into a career. DelVal's career pathways help students connect these questions and offers the insight they need to prepare for their future.

The 16 career pathways are:

  • Be A Counselor
  • Be A Defender
  • Be An Educator
  • Be An Environmentalist
  • Be A Food Producer
  • Be A Food Scientist
  • Be A Horse Whisperer
  • Be A Horticulturist
  • Be A Landscape Visionary
  • Be A Leader in Agribusiness
  • Be A Leader in Business
  • Be A Scientist
  • Be A Storyteller
  • Be A Turf Expert
  • Be A Veterinarian
  • Be A Wildlife Warrior

Each career path offers insight into the potential careers, related academic majors, the hands-on opportunities, relevant courses, the clubs and organizations that align with their interest, and the companies that previous students have interned at or go on to work for following graduation.

By connecting academic programs with a variety of career paths, the pathways demonstrate how students can build on their interests and develop skills that apply across professional settings. Each of DelVal's majors can provide a strong foundation for a career while leaving room to explore new opportunities as interests, goals and industries evolve.

This flexibility is supported by DelVal's award-winning Experience360 (E360) Program and it's philosophy of combining science with practice. DelVal students have opportunities for hands-on learning beginning year one, giving them the insight and experience they need for career success.

"I absolutely believe that DelVal set me up for success for my career. Having the ability to walk down to the farms that are physically on campus is unlike any other experience that you can have at another university," said Dr. Nina Dellarte '21, associate veterinarian at Blauner, Buchholz & Associates.

By helping prospective students explore the many directions a major can lead, the new career pathways offer another way to understand how a DelVal education can support their goals, both at graduation and throughout their professional lives.
