The competition will welcome two new and two returning judges for its seventh year on Thursday, November 19.

Doylestown, PA (10/26/2026) — Delaware Valley University, in partnership with the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce and Startup Bucks, will host the seventh-annual Spark Bowl in the Life Sciences Building Auditorium on Thursday, November 19 at 6 p.m. Prior to the competition, there will be a networking event at 5 p.m. in the Life Sciences Building Atrium.

Returning judges Blair Rush and William Schutt will be joined by two new judges, Mary Griffith-Alfarano and Christopher B. Chandor.

Blair Rush is the Southeast region president of C&N, and serves on several boards and committees at local institutions, including Delaware Valley University, Grand View Health, North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club, and more.

William Schutt is the founder, former owner and chairman of MATCOR, Inc., and holds seven U.S. patents and several foreign patents. He has been recognized by the United States government as one of the top experts in infrastructure corrosion and was part of a White House delegation to the Soviet Union.

Mary Griffith-Alfarano is a business banking relationship manager at Fulton Bank, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial services. She specializes in working with small, privately held, and family-owned businesses and has built a reputation as a trusted partner to the local business community.

Christopher B. Chandor founded Penn's Grant Corporation in 1975 and serves as the company's chief executive officer. He has a wide range of developmental and investment experience in commercial, industrial and residental real estate.

Spark Bowl is made possible through the generous support of sponsors who look to support local economic growth and the growth of new, local businesses. Sponsorship opportunities are still available at a variety of levels for those looking to support local entrepreneurs and community growth.
