DelVal's Seventh Annual Spark Bowl Less Than Two Months Away
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those looking to support local entrepreneurs and DelVal students.
Doylestown, PA (09/29/2026) — Delaware Valley University (DelVal), the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) and Startup Bucks will host the seventh annual Spark Bowl, a "Shark Tank"-like competition on Thursday, November 19. This year's contestants represent companies that offer technology-driven solutions across industries including healthcare, personal hygiene, marketing and pharmaceutical.
In addition to supporting local startups, the Spark Bowl competition offers a hands-on learning opportunity to DelVal students majoring or with an interest in business. Students work as consultants with the startup to prepare their pitch for the competition.
"We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students every year," said Dr. Jeffrey Wehrung, assistant professor at DelVal. "The Spark Bowl gives DelVal students a unique opportunity to work directly with real businesses in our community, helping entrepreneurs better communicate their value proposition to customers and potential investors. At the same time, our students gain practical experience in consulting, professional communication and problem-solving. These are skills that will serve them throughout their professional lives."
