Chef and Co-Founder of Bucks County's Zest Culinary Services to Speak to Students at Delaware Valley University

by Nicole McMahon

Doylestown, PA (10/17/2022) — Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is excited to announce Melissa Wieczorek, co-founder and chef at Zest Culinary Services in Bucks County as the speaker for DelVal's Watson Executive-in-Residence program.

The program will be held on Thursday, October 20 at 11 a.m. in DelVal's Life Sciences Building Auditorium. Each semester, the Watson Executive-in-Residence program brings an executive to DelVal for a presentation about his or her career in discussion with students about how they excelled to where they are today.

The program is sponsored by alumnus of DelVal, Dr. Thomas Watson '57. Each semester, a business student is chosen to receive a scholarship and introduce the visiting executive to the University. More than $120,000 in scholarships has been provided through Dr. Watson's program throughout the years.

About the presentation:

Wieczorek's presentation, "Living the Dream: What They Don't Tell You in School About Being Your Own Boss," will share a frank and humorous account of the realities of being your own boss and the humanity of successful entrepreneurs based on her 17-year journey as a culinary entrepreneur. Her business, Zest Culinary Services, which she founded with her husband, is a personal chef business and boutique catering company with a mission to help their customers "eat well, live fit, and have fun," through food.

Wieczorek is passionate about entrepreneurship and creating culinary solutions for her clients. She enjoys sharing her experiences with others through business coaching, teaching, and speaking engagements. She is also an adjunct instructor at DelVal, teaching a course in business management and marketing of horticultural products.
