Delaware Valley University Announces New Director of Human Resources

Doylestown, PA (07/06/2022) — Delaware Valley University (DelVal) announced today that Robert (Bob) Connelly will serve as director of Human Resources, effective July 25, 2022. Bob currently serves as senior manager of Human Resources at Trinseo LLC, a $3B global materials company with 3,800 employees.

"I am excited to have Bob Connelly join our management team at DelVal," said Delaware Valley University President, Dr. Benjamin E. Rusiloski. "In addition to being a strong human resources leader, Bob has significant expertise in organizational development, employee relations, and talent management that will support the strategic direction of the University."

As director of Human Resources, Connelly will report directly to the University's President, Dr. Benjamin E. Rusiloski. He will have responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources at DelVal.

As senior manager of Human Resources at Trinseo LLC, Bob uses his strategic leadership skills to improve communications and engagement of the North American Employee population, and leads Global Talent Management for executive talent, performance management, and new business integration. Additionally, Bob has implemented health and safety practices to address the ongoing and ever-changing needs of COVID-19.

Prior to his position at Trinseo LLC, Bob was deputy director of Human Resources at the Public Health Management Corporation, a public health institute serving the greater Philadelphia area with over 3,000 employees. Here, Bob supported the organization in strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, performance management, and workplace wellness. Under his leadership, he helped oversee integration of a new subsidiary, The Center for Autism.

Bob also served as interim director of Human Resources at DelVal through CCI Consulting, a Human Resources firm. He oversaw all operational responsibilities for the Human Resources Department including supporting employees at the University.

Connelly holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from West Chester University, and an MBA from Drexel University. He is also affiliated with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Southeastern Pennsylvania SHRM and U.S. Soccer and United Soccer Coaches. Bob serves on the Board of Directors of College Settlement and is a soccer coach at Vereinigung Erzgebirge Social and Sports Club.
