Delaware Valley University Hosts Panel Discussion: "Telling The Story"

A focus on how individuals across various professions share information about the Holocaust

Doylestown, PA (04/10/2024) — On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Delaware Valley University's revered Business, Arts, and Sciences, Question It! Change It! Colloquium Series returns with a special event, in collaboration with the DelVal Honors Program. The event, titled, "Telling The Story," focuses on how individuals across various professions share information about the Holocaust.

The panel discussion will be facilitated by Honors Program Director, Dr. Allison Buskirk-Cohen, and will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Life Sciences Building Auditorium on DelVal's campus. Following a guided discussion, audience members will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the panelists. The event is open to all at no cost and does not require registration.

Wednesday evening's panel features esteemed experts:

  • Dr. Henry Sandberg: Historian and lecturer at DelVal, specializing in American History & Government since 1877, Modern History of Western Societies, and Cultural Anthropology.
  • Dr. Krista Hegburg: Senior Program Officer at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, with extensive experience in international academic programs and outreach.
  • Rabbi Lance J. Sussman, Ph.D.: Educator, Holocaust survivor, and former Senior Rabbi at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel. Author of "Portrait of an American Rabbi: In His Own Words."

The Business, Arts, and Sciences, Question It! Change It! Colloquium Series, is a forum for students and the broader DelVal community to engage in informed and guided conversations about contemporary problems and issues. Faculty in the School of Business, Arts, and Sciences present lectures addressing these current issues from their respective disciplines, facilitate discussion and provide resources to deepen our understanding. Wednesday night's event marks the final installment of the spring semester for the Colloquium Series, following earlier presentations and discussions on topics such as Post-Pandemic Education and School-to-Prison Pipeline.
