Delaware Valley University's Physician Assistant Program Receives Accreditation

by Nicole McMahon

Doylestown, PA (07/26/2022) — The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the Delaware Valley University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Delaware Valley University.

Delaware Valley University's (DelVal) Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS), is dedicated to the pillars of scholarship, service and professionalism. Students of the program will gain the skills and training they need to become highly competent clinicians and leaders in the complex health care environment.

Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation- Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class.

"The University is excited to expand our graduate programming in healthcare to support the needs of employers in this growing field," said DelVal President, Dr. Benjamin E. Rusiloski after receiving news of the program's accreditation status. "DelVal looks forward to welcoming our inaugural Physician Assistant Studies class this fall as we support our students for success in this field," added DelVal's Program Director for Physician Assistant Studies, Shannon Diallo.

The program's accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at http://www.arc-pa.org/accreditation-history-delaware-valley-university/.
