The event keynote speaker is Janet Sasson Edgette, Psy.D., M.P.H., a psychologist in Exton, Pa. Edgette specializes in adolescent therapy, family therapy and parent coaching. She is also an author of seven books, most recently, "Therapeutic Conversations with Adolescents: Helping Teens in Therapy Thrive in an Ultra-Competitive and Screen-Saturated World." Edgette aims to navigate teen mental health by aiding them through our increasingly complex society.

"Parents, educators and counselors have witnessed firsthand the stress and anxiety teens face across every aspect of their lives," said Tracey O'Neill, counseling psychology graduate assistant. "Within Delaware Valley University's Psychology Department, this shared concern prompted a unanimous decision on this year's Spring Speaker Series topic. The goals of this presentation are to bring together parents and guardians, educators, mental health professionals and resource organizations, ensuring that everyone leaves with a clear sense of direction and practical resources to support young people during their critical transition from high school to adulthood."
