Delaware Valley University to Launch Master of Public Health Program

Doylestown, PA (01/08/2025) — Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is proud to announce the launch of its new Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program, beginning fall 2025. The program is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to address public health challenges.

DelVal's M.P.H. program will help advance the careers of healthcare professionals and individuals seeking a career in public health as the market demand for M.P.H. degrees is on the rise. This program aims to empower students with the skills they need to address complex public health issues and policy initiatives, and the growing emphasis on preventive care and health promotion. Students will learn to develop and evaluate public health programs, utilize health informatics for data-driven decision-making, and respond effectively to biosecurity threats and emergencies.

"We are thrilled to launch our new Master of Public Health degree, which aligns with the University's strong tradition of experiential learning and our deep commitment to the principles of One Health," said Dr. Joseph Paris, Dean, School of Graduate and Professional Studies. "This program will equip students with the skills to address today's most pressing public health challenges while complementing our existing graduate offerings in healthcare administration, physician assistant studies, and speech-language pathology. Together, these programs will help us prepare the next generation of leaders committed to advancing equitable health outcomes."

The curriculum is carefully crafted to provide both theoretical understanding and practical skills. It includes epidemiology, biostatistics and data analysis, health policy, program evaluation, and specialized courses focused on community health, environmental health, health information systems and informatics, and animal health.

The M.P.H. program expands on DelVal's current offerings in graduate healthcare that include master's degree programs in Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.), Physician Assistant Studies (M.S.P.A.S.), and Speech-Language Pathology (M.S.).
