Recent Alumna Kylie Schoelen '23 Rides A DelVal Horse To Success At 2024 I Love NY Horse Show
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (07/16/2024) — Delaware Valley University alumna Kylie Schoelen '23 recently competed at the 2024 I Love NY Horse Show in Lake Placid, New York. She competed in the adult jumpers division riding atop DelVal's own horse, Java's Keltic Mist, and in the adult jumpers division with her own horse, Capone Z, who she currently leases to the DelVal equine program.
Schoelen graduated with a bachelor's degree in equine science and is currently enrolled in veterinarian school at St. George's University in Grenada. While at DelVal, she was a three-sport student-athlete for the Aggies, competing for the equestrian hunt seat and dressage teams, and the track and field team. She also completed an internship at DelVal's breeding center where she worked as a breeding center student assistant manager from May-December, 2023.
Over three days at the I Love NY Horse Show, Schoelen successfully competed in 12 different classes. She earned two third-place ribbons for her efforts in the Adult Hunter Classic division and the Adult Hunter 18-35 Over Fences division and took fourth in the NEHC Adult Hunt Seat division.
